Larisa Martínez
Puerto Rican opera singer Larisa Martínez has been praised and sought after for her “smoky soprano” (Opera News), gracing many of the world’s top opera and concert stages. Her recent opera roles include Musetta in La Bohème, Violetta in La Traviata, Sophie alongside tenor Piotr Beczala in Werther, and Maria alongside tenor Michael Fabiano in West Side Story. Larisa made her Carnegie Hall debut singing Mahler 2 with Athens Philharmonic and her Kennedy Center debut in recital, both in 2019. She was invited as part of President Barack Obama’s artistic delegation to Cuba in 2016, in an effort to expand cultural collaboration and friendships between the two countries, culminating in the Emmy®-nominated PBS special, Live from Lincoln Center: Seasons of Cuba.
Larisa is currently touring with violinist Joshua Bell in a program titled “Voice and the Violin” (Ravinia Festival, Colorado Symphony, New York’s 92Y) and regularly appears as the featured soprano in Andrea Bocelli’s global arena tours (Hollywood Bowl, Madison Square Garden). Larisa is passionate about representing her Boricua cultural heritage through projects and performances, including her upcoming debut album release, Saudades: Songs of Love and Longing.
